Parent Class Representative
At St Alfege with St Peter’s CofE Primary School, we believe that strong communication between parents and the school is essential for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. To facilitate this, we are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated parents/carers to take on the role of Class Representative. What Does a Class Representative Do?
As a Class Representative, you will act as a vital link between the parents of your child’s class and the school. Your responsibilities will include:

Communication: Keeping parents informed about school events, activities, and important announcements. You will share information from the school with parents and vice versa, ensuring everyone is up-to-date and feels included in the school community.

Organising Events: Assisting in the planning and coordination of class events, such as social gatherings and fundraisers. Your involvement will help foster a sense of community among families and enhance the overall experience for students.

Supporting Teachers: Collaborating with your child’s teacher to understand the needs of the class and how parents can support learning at home. You may help facilitate communication about class projects or initiatives that require parental involvement.

Listening and Feedback: Being a friendly ear for parents to voice their thoughts, concerns, or suggestions regarding school matters. You will gather feedback and relay it to the senior leadership team during half termly meetings, helping to ensure that the voices of parents are heard and valued.

Encouraging Participation: Motivating other parents to get involved in school activities and initiatives. Your enthusiasm can inspire others to contribute their time and talents, enriching the school community.
