Embracing the greatest commandment in all that we do.
The vision at St Alfege with St Peter’s CofE Primary school is rooted in the words that Jesus spoke to his disciples in Mark 12:30-31 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
We have two versions of our vision statement
We share our hearts gladly with those that we meet
Embracing the difference that make us complete
We walk in God’s image His love we will sow
We want to be Christ-like each day as we grow
We live healthy lives both in body and mind
Giving our all to the work that we find
We aim high in our learning, achieving each day
We are part of St Alfege and this is our way
A welcoming school community that shares the love of Christ in our everyday lives (Heart)
Children who understand what it is to flourish in all areas of their lives and reflect the image of God. (soul)
A learning environment which supports the development of healthy minds and bodies (strength)
High or expectations for children's academic achievements and a commitment to helping them make an impact on the world (Mind)
Our Core Values
We have 6 values which help to reinforce all that we aim for as a school community. These values, although not distinctively Christian, are referenced throughout the Bible. This allows us to use Biblical examples to enable our children to gain a deeper understanding of our core values
Each half term we focus on one of our core values and look at how we can demonstrate it in every area of our lives. Each value has a bible verse which underpins it.
