Welcome to St Alfege
At St Alfege with St Peter’s Church of England Primary School we are committed to providing the highest quality of education possible for all in partnership with parents and carers. The School enjoys a close relationship with its Church – St Alfege – and there is a strong emphasis on providing children with a good sense of social and moral awareness. The ethos of the School is a caring one where children are considerate of each other. Visitors to the School often remark on the friendliness and warmth of welcome they receive from everyone, especially the children.
Our Vision
Our school motto is ‘To dream, to strive, to achieve, to celebrate with God at our Side’ and this underpins the ethos of the school. We aim to provide a stimulating environment where every child realizes his or her potential through work and play, and goes on to secondary education equipped and ready academically, socially and spiritually. St Alfege’s is a hard-working and happy school. We have wonderful children and exceptional staff. We are proud of how our parents/cares, our governors, our staff and our children all work together to create and maintain a secure, broad and balanced curriculum within a happy learning environment.
To help protect the environment, to reduce paper costs and to improve communications with parents/carers (some parents have complained that they do not always get the Friday Flyer), Friday Flyers and and other letters are now being sent e-mail. (Initially, a small number of paper copies will be available from the Office and Friday Flyers will continue to be uploaded to the school's website.) Letters with a reply slip, can be completed electronically and e-mailed to school.
If you are still not receiving Friday Flyers electronically, please could you send an e-mail info@stalfegeschool.org.uk giving your child's name and class in the header. With very many thanks.
Telephones
Please select option 1 to report your child's absence and to contact the school about a change of pick up arrangements or to speak to Miss Charlette. Alternatively, you can now e-mail absence@stalfegeschool.org.uk giving the date, name of your child, class and reason for absence. Please could you be specific, i.e. 'high temperature' rather than 'unwell'. With many thanks.
ParentPay
It is now possible to pay for school dinners using ParentPay (www.parentpay.com). All families have been sent log-in details. Please e-mail the school if you have not received these (info@stalfegeschool.org.uk). The cost of dinners for the first half of the summer term is £47.60 per pupil. All dinners need to be paid in advance.
