Key Stage 1 and 2

The curriculum is divided into Core Subjects and the FOUNDATION subjects.

The CORE subjects are: English, Maths, Science, Religious Education and Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

The Foundation Subjects are: Art, Design Technology, Geography, History, Music, Physical Education, Personal, Social, Health, Citizenship Education (PSHE). In addition, children in Key Stage 2 currently study French as a Modern Foreign Language.

Art, Design Technology, Geography and History are taught through ‘Contexts for Learning’ where themes are linked and children learn through practically-based experiences and learning outside the classroom.
