Achievement at end of Early Years Foundation Stage was above national expectations and in line with the Royal Borough of Greenwich in 2018.  This is as a result of the outstanding teaching and environment created by the EYFS team at St Alfege Church of England Primary School.

The school’s phonics screening assessments shows how the successful phonics teaching in EYFS is built upon through Year 1, so that phonic screening results are above national averages and in line with the Royal Borough of Greenwich.  End of Year 2 shows that virtually all children have a secure phonic knowledge.

End of Key stage 1 results continue to demonstrate the school’s high quality teaching with results above national and Greenwich averages, and particular successes over the past two years are the proportion of children achievingg the greater depth at end of KS1..

Achievement in Key Stage 2 continues the trend of children at St Alfege with St Peter’s achieving above national and Royal Borough of Greenwich in all areas.  The 2018 results show strong performance at the expected standard, as well as at the higher standard.

It is also important to note the school's progress measures in reading, writing and mathematics as they show how children from each starting point make good progress at St Alfege with St Peter's in comparison to other schools in Greenwich and schools Nationally.
